This artwork represents the fight for balance between the past and the present, more specifically focusing on the gradual loss of our own cultural heritage. The dragon is meant to represent our very own iconic Toa Payoh dragon playground while the girl in blue is depicted to be a reflection of our inner selves. The ghostly aura of the girl adds to how we seem to be losing sight of our very own Singapore culture, and instead turning to technology, being caught up in our own world (depicted by the modernised surroundings).
