Watercolour and ink on paper

The painting captures a cathedral with two butterflies almost sinking into an ocean. The cathedral represents religion, considering how big a part it plays in someone’s personal life beneath our superficial surface.
Butterflies in this work represent souls and they always fly in pairs, making me believe that no soul can survive alone. The untamed water represents the uncommon depth, almost chaotic but beautiful energy that flows through the body. All these put together represents the soul deep inside me.
