An expression of visceral, emotional trauma in relation to the artist's personal social experiences, "æ c" attempts to capture fleeting emotional truth distinct from diluted emotional recollections through the immediacy and spontaneity of the artwork creation process. The artist contends that the artwork should be perceived in the context of Kandinsky's beliefs in the direct communicative abilities of colour to the spiritual self, yet also admits the failings of the universality of the colour system and hence his imposition of his own perception on the viewers.
