Sound
Painting

The sound of a lightning storm holds several layers. From the endless pattering of rain to the crack of the lightning, I chose this composition to encompass this idea. Having layer after layer stacked on top of each other, some parts blending together, some parts completely separated. I want to be able to see what I usually hear, the light blue smudges of raindrops, the bright red coiling of lightning branches. The subtle grey endless rumbling, I want all these expressions to show what I hear. The layers of grey in the background to hear the layers of wind howling and whispering at the same time. The layers of white yellow and red, overlapping each other like how a lightning can have different impacts but all happening at once. With all the elements put together, but separated at the same time, that is how I hear a lightning thunderstorm, and that is how I want to express it.
