My intention was to portray the different sides of a circus. The four different moods I went for are, grandeur and extravagance, danger and riskiness, creepiness and freakiness, and playful and light-hearted. Despite such contrasting emotions and moods, they are all tied to the circus which I found very intriguing. Inspired by Victorian and royal dressing gowns. For the first work, I used a minimalistic colour palette to emphasise on the circus colours—red and white (I was inspired by the movie “The Greatest Showman”). For my second artwork, the beast/tiger was the main focus and brought across the danger in the design.
