I have a lot of precious items that I cherish dearly. Some of them are simple, small notes of encouragement from teachers and classmates, others like small keychains, notebooks and more. Each of them represents an important moment or stage of my life where I have been recognised by the people around me as someone who was deserving of their kindness, their love and support, and in turn, their little, bundled gifts that bring so much joy to me. As I grow older, my memories of these moments slowly begin to fade, and all that is left are the items that mean so much to me. I tried my best to conjure an image of myself when I was young and carefree, always smiling, unburdened by life and its challenges. I wish I could go back to those times, yet all that’s left are small objects which could, like my childhood memories, disappear from my grasp at any time.
